there is a time when all dreams are possible. then you grow up and find that it doesn't work this way (but I know a guy who really became ninja). when I first met Cesar back in school, he was this great guy who liked Chemistry and playing guitar. Today, he is a pharmacist. and the guitar playing, that really kept going. he has a band now, and he's reaching for his dream. what's my part in this story? I merely contributed in creating a website to match.

the image on the background of this page is a fractal.

fractals are aesthetic images created by complex mathematical formulas, discovered by several authors and whose forms replicate nature's own.

(ok, maybe you don't find them so aesthetic, but they do fulfill their function.)

when it comes to Design, it's roughly the same: aesthetics are based on a couple of highly complex theories, to which several authors contributed. our brain perceives such aesthetics in a similar way as to how it reads nature.

and then Lost ended. the TV show that for the past six years or so has been answering a question with another question was over with what I can only define, without spoilers, as the most touching finale I've seen in a long while.

so compelling, indeed, that it made me forget the holes its script had left behind - holes that (not always) stemmed from reasons beyond the creators' control, like the actor who played mr. Eko giving up, the financial crisis of 2008 and such bad surprises.
